Making It SewFun offers the You Can Make It^® method of sewing to teach students how to sew progressively in 7 levels. The program works on the theory that you must first learn the alphabet before learning to read. The same is true with sewing. You must understand the basics first.

All aspects of sewing are taught using a variety of store-bought patterns, starting from foundational sewing skills in Level 1 and progressing to tailoring in Level 7.  Below is a brief description of the basic skills covered in Level 1:
