Our full semester of classes runs from September - May (an average of 32 weeks).
Enrollment for ongoing weekly classes is for the full semester and is billed monthly regardless of the number of weeks per month. Tuition is prorated to include holidays, allowing a consistent and fair monthly tuition cost.
Students may withdraw from the program at any time. However, a 30-day notice is required to discontinue auto-draft payments. Tuition will not be prorated if there is an early withdrawal in the middle of a session. Tuition is not transferable.
Our secure website accepts online credit card payments. Your payment card information will be stored for the monthly auto-draft for ongoing classes.
The 6-week Adult Beginner course includes a one-time tuition fee + kit fee.
For the youth/teen programs, an annual registration fee of $40 is due at registration and at the beginning of each semester.
Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
For students enrolled in ongoing classes, one make-up class will be available at the end of the quarter for excused absences.
Tuition is not refunded nor prorated for no-shows or missed classes
Make-up classes are not available for camps or adult beginner 6-week courses
All payments are final. We do not offer refunds.
Adult Program - Students must purchase a sewing pattern, fabric, and notions for each Level. A list of materials will be provided in advance. A separate kit fee is required for the Adult Beginner course at the time of registration.
Youth / Teen Program - New students will receive the Level 1 workbook and fabric for the first two projects. Students are required to purchase fabric and notions for subsequent projects. A note will be sent home in advance with project requirements.
All camps include supplies for projects, the use of sewing machines, and tools.
Camp fees are not refundable or transferable for cancellations or non-attendance. Make-up classes are not available for missed classes.
Camp may be canceled if 3 or more campers are not registered, and refunds will be provided.
Projects are sewn using a sewing machine. Some hand-stitching is also required.
Depending upon the child's sewing efficiency and time management, every effort will be made to finish the project(s) during the allowed camp time, but I cannot guarantee that the project(s) will be completed in the allowed time.
Attendance is very important for each student's success. Please commit to being prompt each week upon arrival and dismissal of class. If the student cannot attend, please contact us before the scheduled class starts. Students are allowed one make-up class per quarter, and it must be scheduled in advance.
We will follow the Chicago Public School system schedule in the event of inclement weather. If the studio is closed due to weather, we will notify you of make-up classes or refund you for the canceled class.
