We exclusively use the Kids Can Sew® and Fashion Design program to teach children how to sew. It is a complete machine sewing curriculum designed especially for kids. Under the direction of caring instructors, students practice hands-on foundational skills to make garments, crafts, gifts, and home decorating items. Students learn at their own pace and progressively gain confidence as their skill level grows with each project. Classes are taught in a creative and encouraging environment with small class sizes to ensure individual attention.
Each student receives a full-color workbook and a pattern pack with an assortment of clothing and crafts projects. The patterns and workbooks feature animated pictures and easy-to-read instructions that even the youngest reader can follow. Students master the skills in each workbook then express their individuality by re-designing their patterns or expand their sewing knowledge by using store-bought patterns. Classes are appropriate for both girls and boys 8-12 years old. Teen classes are also available; click on the menu bar above to learn more.

During the regular season, classes meet once per week for 1-hour. Tuition is based on the number of instructional hours enrolled and includes 4 hours of instruction every 4-weeks. There's a one-time registration fee of $40 at the beginning of each quarter which includes a student workbook and fabric for the first two projects. The registration fee is waived when students enroll in the full semester block of 12-weeks.
Workbooks are available for purchase for each subsequent level from our store at the cost of $40. Students are required to purchase their own workbook, fabric, notions, and supplies. A note will be sent home in advance. Pre-packaged fabric kits are also available for purchase from Making It SewFun.
Tuition = $100 per month + 40 registration fee
